Just a quick note before our 9 strong leg 4 team leave Hanoi.
We will be travelling to Lao Chi to wait for leg 3 at the Hekou border (China/Vietnam).
Ian and Steve have liased with Lam and Chin (Vietnam fixers), and Ian with the chinese side to arrange the fifth car to be transported to the border from Langzhou so that the vehicles will be let out of China.
The other 4 cars are likely to be impounded by the authorities until the 5th car arrives. Chin can sort the Vietnamese paperwork even if we can't drive the cars, he will transport them to the nearest Lao border.
So we will be off in the hour by minibus and will take 8 hours!
I don't know how well connected Lao Chi is, but hopefully i'll be able to update.
